Bugatti Taverna – Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)

Cen-Tex Engineering partnered Höhe Design Group to provide full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design for a new quick-serve bar and grill located within Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The project called for seamless coordination between airport authorities, food service consultants, and design teams to meet the operational needs of a fast-paced restaurant environment within a secure and high-traffic terminal.
Mechanical systems were designed to tie into the airport’s central hydronic heating and cooling infrastructure, providing efficient temperature control year-round. A dedicated kitchen exhaust system was engineered to support high-heat cooking equipment, including a commercial grill, while ensuring proper ventilation and compliance with airport safety standards.
Electrical design included ambient pendant lighting throughout the dining areas to enhance the customer experience, along with integrated under-bar lighting to elevate the visual appeal of the space. The bar and seating areas were equipped with convenience charging receptacles and USB ports to meet the modern traveler’s need to stay connected.
Plumbing systems were carefully routed to serve a fully equipped back-of-house kitchen and beverage service station, while also accommodating the challenges of working within the airport’s structural and scheduling constraints.
The result is a modern, efficient quick-serve dining destination that balances comfort, functionality, and aesthetics—supported by thoughtful, performance-driven MEP solutions.
